Panera Breakfast Wraps Review

Panera Bread is trying to step up its breakfast game with three new portable options that are available for breakfast delivery. The new wraps include Maple Bacon Egg and Gouda Wrap; Chipotle Chicken, Avocado & Gouda Wrap; and Mediterranean Egg White Wrap. All are made on a whole grain lavash wrap. Panera is aiming to capitalize on the popularity of its morning sandwiches, and compete with heavy-hitting competitors like McDonald’s, Starbucks, and Dunkin Donuts, which offer fast breakfast foods for on-the-go customers.

The new menu items are available for breakfast pick-up or delivery at participating locations, and can be ordered online before 10:30 a.m. Prices vary depending on the wrap, but most meals cost $4-$6. You can save your order in the Panera app for easier reordering in the future.

Panera also offers a number of other breakfast foods, including bagels, pastries, and salads. But some of those foods can be high in calories, with the sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese sandwich on an Asiago bagel having over 820 calories, or the frozen caramel cold brew having over 480 calories.

In addition to the new portable breakfast wraps, Panera has also added two new breakfast bowls — a Baja Grain and a Mediterranean Grain. Both of these dishes have brown rice and quinoa, along with a mix of ingredients such as feta crumbles, yogurt, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado, chicken, olives, peppers, spinach, or cheese. Panera is also introducing some new baked goods, including Cheese and Cherry Brittanys; Almond and Chocolate Croissants; Cinnamon Crunch, Blueberry and Orange Scones; and a Cocoa & Creme cookie.
