Named after one of the most diverse regions in the world, the Patagonia brand is synonymous with mountains, glaciers, rivers, lakes and more. And their backpacks are built for navigating these vast landscapes and other life adventures.
This large daypack keeps you totally organized for global travel, daily commutes and everything in between. A dedicated laptop compartment unzips and lays flat via a clamshell opening, making it TSA compliant and easy to pass through security without removing the computer. The sleeve also doubles as a hydration pack pocket.
The rest of the backpack is a large panel-loading design with ample space for everything from clothes and snacks to books and lunch. A simple nylon handle at the top is a rarity on backpacks, but it's useful for hanging the bag from pegs or shuffling it around a room. Patagonia's Air-Flow mesh shoulder straps and backpanel are comfortable enough to keep you slinging the pack from morning class to evening travel.
The outside of the bag is 630 denier 50% recycled nylon, with a combination PU and DWR coating for some rain resistance. The lining is 200 denier 100% recycled polyester. The Patagonia Paxat 32L has some nice touches, like daisy chained carabiner loops for hanging accessories and a small zippered pocket at the front. It's also got a sternum strap and load lifters, which can help shift the weight up and prevent sagging over long periods of time. These features are more likely to be found on hiking backpacks, but they're still nice to have in a city pack.
