ping g410 fairway review
The G410 lineup of fairway woods builds on the popularity of Ping’s most successful driver ever. Already in the bags of PGA Tour professionals, the G410 offers a movable weight technology around a forged face for maximum ball speed. Designed with both the player and the fitting process in mind, the G410 fairway woods are available in a variety of lofts so that golfers can choose their best option based on swing type, skill level, and preferences.
Like the G400 fairway woods, the 410 series are designed to deliver forgiveness and performance for players of all abilities. Each model features a lower and forward center of gravity than its predecessor to promote increased ball speeds on mis-hits. A machined, high-density tungsten back weight is located to the extreme rear of each fairway head to increase MOI and help the clubhead maintain its stability throughout impact.
The tungsten also helps to lower the spin rate of shots that are hit low on the face. In fact, PING’s internal testing shows that shots impacted 0.2" below the center of the face generate more than 1 MPH more ball speed and 200 RPM less spin than a center impact. For enhanced customization, each fairway includes an adjustable loft and lie hosel for eight positions of flight control.
