If you are a low handicapper who is looking for a blade-style iron, then the ping s59 irons may be what you are after. They have a classic look and feel that will appeal to most players.
They are available in either a brushed/polished finish with a ferrule (S59 Tour) or with no ferrule (S59). The hosel has a black bar across the back which dampens vibration and the high centre of gravity produces a penetrating ball flight that will be easy to control.
There is a good deal of forgiveness for this style of iron and the minimal blade-like offset makes it easy to shape shots as well. This club is also very forgiving on mishits and will help improve a players accuracy.
The irons have a lot of custom-fitting options, which means that they are suitable for most golfers. They can be fitted with a wide range of shafts and flexes to ensure that they are the best fit for your swing.
Having tested the ping s59 irons for a couple of weeks now, I have to say that I am really impressed with them. The feel is great and they are very forgiving, which I find a huge plus point when you consider that these clubs are aimed at the lower handicappers.
I have always found Ping irons to be very well made and the ping s59 is no exception. The only thing that I would change is the sand blasting on the bottom half of the irons. I don't really understand why this is done, and it does detract from the look of the club.
