The Roaring Rebel is the most fun POF has ever had with a rimfire platform. They have yet to see anyone shoot it and not walk away with a smile on their face. It is a perfect introductory firearm for youth shooters, a training aid using inexpensive rimfire ammunition and range toy for adults that are young at heart. It is chambered in the most popular plinking cartridge on the market,.22 LR and uses the readily available Ruger 10/22 magazine.
The monolithic upper receiver features a full length rail with M-LOK slots at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions for mounting optics, hand stops or other accessories. A match-grade 8” barrel is topped with a “faux suppressor device,” which functions as a sound suppressor and visually enhances the rifle’s profile. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for those interested in reducing recoil.
The polymer lower receiver incorporates a flared mag well for easy reloading and is compatible with AR pattern stocks, braces and triggers. An ambidextrous safety and mil-spec trigger are also standard on the Rebel 22. The pistol includes one Ruger 10/22 magazine. A SB Tactical TF1913 folding pistol brace is installed on the receiver, and an advanced steel hinge design locks in both folded and extended positions.
