Polk signature series review

As with all new speakers made by Polk Audio the Signature line is a modern, stylish design that has a bit of an industrial and impressive look. They're available in a range of finishes and are very easy to pair with other Polk speakers.

What is more, the Polk Signature S60 has a really unique design which shouts 'Polk from a distance' and will certainly turn some heads. The S60's look is a love it or hate it design which harks back to some of the older Polk speakers and it's not uncommon for people to react negatively to this unique design but once you get used to it it does add something to the overall feel of the speaker and is a really interesting and unique idea.

Polk has also included some features that they call 'Power Port' in this range which helps to improve the performance of these speakers and reduce chuffing and whooshing sounds caused by traditional bass ports that don't work as well at high volumes. This is because air can rush in and out of these ports at an alarming rate causing the speaker to be very noisy.

There is a very good selection of woofer drivers in this range, each with their own specific size and configuration. The majority use 5.25-inch mica-reinforced polypropylene cones that have been designed with laser imaging to detect unwanted resonances and then be eliminated in their production.
