If you’re short on space or don’t want to splurge on a full-fledged gym, the compact Proform City T7 might be the perfect treadmill for your home. It doesn’t have the upscale features of higher-end ProForm and NordicTrack models, but it does offer a variety of interactive training options through iFit (which comes free with the purchase of the machine for three years). It’s also well built and durable, and can support up to 300 lbs.
Proform’s City series is a line of budget-friendly, compact, foldable treadmills with HD touchscreens and convenient storage. The City T7, which is a little smaller than other machines in the lineup, has a slim frame, small running deck, and 2.6 CHP Mach Z motor. It’s best suited for walking and jogging, as its weaker motor won’t be able to handle intense workouts. However, the incline feature and iFit’s library of workout videos should still provide plenty of challenge for most casual trainees.
The T7’s console has a 7” Smart HD touchscreen, which gives you access to iFit’s vast library of workout videos and Google Maps trails around the world. The app can automatically control the speed and incline of your treadmill, so you can enjoy a truly immersive virtual training experience.
In addition to the iFit app, you can use the screen to view and manage your workout data. You can track your progress, monitor your heart rate through a built-in chest sensor, and listen to music through the speakers. The treadmill also has a USB port, which you can use to connect your phone or tablet to charge while exercising.
