About the pxg brandon gen2 putter
The new GEN2 range from PXG has eight different head models (Closer, Lucky "D," Brandon, Mustang, Bat Attack, Mini Gunboat, Gunboat, and Operator) all with three hosel options to choose from. During a fitting golfers can custom configure their putter head with a plumber's neck, heel shafted, or double bend hosel to best suit their stroke.
Forgiveness is a key aspect of these new PXG putters, as they use a variable-density pyramid face insert which creates uniform ball speeds from every part of the face. It also helps to offset the ball speed loss typically seen with mishits.
Stability is another key aspect of the GEN2 range, as they feature large sole weights which can be fine tuned to improve stability and enhance feel. The new GEN2 range also includes the Bat Attack, which is a modified mallet with an aircraft-grade aluminium body and 'bat' wings on the heel and toe made from heavier stainless steel.
A big, chunky MOI mallet that is a fantastic option for those looking for a no-nonsense blade putter with a long sight line and oversized tungsten backweights. It doesn't come with a golf ball width alignment aid so is better suited for those who prefer to see their ball's size in the centre of the face and don't need to frame it up at address.
The Brandon putter features a unique multi-material design which pushes the centre of gravity further back than other Battle Ready putters. This increases stability on off-centre hits and during the stroke. The main body of the putter is milled from stainless steel, while the toe and heel feature tungsten weights that are designed to improve stability on off-center strikes.
