The Lumen is a three-season sleeping bag that’s most comfortable in spring and autumn, though it may feel too warm for some campers in high summer. It packs down to a lumpy, 8-by-15-inch stuff sack.
We really liked the Lumen’s relaxed mummy shape and regular fit, which made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. Its synthetic insulation also offered great warmth, especially when damp. And the draft collar was a nice feature that helps the bag perform well in colder temperatures. We were slightly bummed, however, that the bag lacks a zipper-locking function that would make it easier to cinch up the neck opening while in the dark, without having to open or close your eyes. The hood also features differentiated drawcords—a round black elastic cord for the head, and a flat grey cord for the neck.
