reminiscence review ign

In a future-world Miami ravaged by border wars and catastrophic climate change, people entertain themselves by using a reminiscence machine that lets them relive a pre-selected memory. Nick Bannister, a new-age PI and mind-bending detective (played by Hugh Jackman) runs the business, called Reminiscence, with his partner Watts (Thandie Newton). When a mysterious nightclub singer named Mae appears in his device, sparking a whirlwind romance, Nick dives into seedy underworld to find her before she disappears.

Despite solid voice acting and music and improved controls, Reminiscence lacks the worldbuilding needed to draw players in and keep them interested for a two-and-a-half hour experience. It also has issues with pacing and character development. For a unique concept, it falls short in many ways. IGN gave the game an overall score of 7.4/10.
