Rib city is an American barbecue restaurant chain with a national reputation. Founded in Fort Myers, Florida, the chain has been open since 1989 and currently operates 12 corporate restaurants as well as 14 franchises across the country.
The restaurants offer a wide variety of grilled and smoked meats, including pork, beef, chicken, fish, ribs and brisket. They also serve a number of regional appetizers.
Food is tasty and affordable here. They have a wide selection of sauces, from brown sugar-based sweet to vinegar-based tangy and Carolina mustard.
They have a good range of beer and wine to go with your meal, too. You can also get a dessert to wash it all down.
Among the most popular menu items are pork sandwiches, chicken wings, grits, baby back ribs and coleslaw. There's a whole host of side dishes as well, including fries, baked potato, hush puppies, macaroni and cheese and corn-on-the-cob.
The ribs are finger-licking good, and there are a few good seafood options as well. The Big Fish Sandwich is a sizeable fillet that's fried to perfection.
There are four different sauces to choose from, including a brown sugar-based sweet sauce, vinegar-based tangy sauce, hot sauce and Carolina mustard sauce.
