Sabrina Carpenter is an American teen actress and singer. She is best known for currently portraying Maya Hart on Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World. On Phineas and Ferb she did additional voices in the episode “Ferb TV”.
The Lower Milford Township, Pennsylvania native has a lot on her plate. In addition to her role as Maya on Disney’s Girl Meets World, the 15-year-old is a fashion model for Kohl’s, has a rocker-chic clothing line called D-Signed, and recently released an EP titled Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying. Her recent appearance in Quakertown attracted 800 fans who waited hours to meet her.
A talented singer, the teen’s passion for music started at a young age. She has been studying voice since she was 6. In 2009, when she was 10 and in fifth grade, Sabrina entered a talent contest hosted on pop star Miley Cyrus’ website. She ended up making the top 10.
Currently, she is the only child in her family. Her older sisters Sarah and Shannon, as well as her half-sister Cayla, are also actors. The teen’s mother, Elizabeth, is an English teacher and her father, David, owns a construction company.
In October 2020, it was announced that Sabrina would be starring in and producing a live-action adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. The film is set to be released in 2021. In the meantime, Sabrina is focusing on her schooling. She plans to attend the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
