salewa crow gtx review

The Salewa crow gtx is a very good mountaineering boot that has a lot to offer to those who want a lightweight, high-performance boot for alpine hiking and high intensity mountain training. This pair of shoes is built with a durable, waterproof Gore-Tex protection, and is suitable for a wide range of terrains and weather conditions.

The boots are made with a rugged textile upper and a sturdy, grippy sole that can be used on both rock and snow. They also have a front climbing zone that is ideal for scrambling and offers solid contact grip on rocks. Those who tried out the shoes found that they were comfortable and provided a great fit for their feet. They were also able to be worn without any discomfort for a long time.

According to Salewa, the patented 3F system ensures firm ankle and heel support. The climbing-inspired toe lacing reaches deep into the shoe and allows ultra-fine adjustments. The Flex Collar at the rear of the cuff increases the ankle's back range of movement and promotes comfort during descents.

The boots come with a Vibram New Mulaz crampons compatible sole that works well in mixed summer terrain and alpine trekking. The lugs of the sole are self-cleaning and are capable of providing traction on various types of trails. The GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining provides optimized climate comfort should the weather close in, and a full rubber rand protects against rock and scree.
