Sennheiser E604 Review

The sennheiser e604 review is a dynamic mic that’s optimized for toms and snares, but it’s also excellent for brass and woodwinds. It can handle SPLs over 160 dB, and it’s got a smart pivoting mount that screws directly onto mic stands or attaches to the rim of the drum. It produces a balanced, clear, low-distortion signal similar to high-end studio condenser mics, and it’s housed in a tough reinforced glass fiber body designed to suppress impact noise.

This kit features three sennheiser e604 mics, and while they weren’t built with snare and rack toms in mind (they were originally intended for wind instruments), they’re able to handle the SPLs that a drummer can throw at them, and provide a good tonal response to your snare and toms. They have a wide frequency response range, serious bleed reduction, and output impedance of 350 ohms, so they’ll be easy to use in any situation.

They’re a bit pricey, but this pack is definitely worth it if you want a full set of sennheiser mics for your drum kit. You get great tones, a tough as nails build and surprising versatility at an unbeatable price point. It’s a little unfortunate that you don’t get a snare mic specifically optimized for snare frequencies, but that’s just a minor nitpick. You won’t regret this purchase!
