Shark RV765 Review

The shark rv765 review is an affordable robot vacuum that’s designed to work for people on a budget. It comes with a decently-sized bin, tank-like wheels that can easily get over most obstacles and works well with Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control. It also has decent power and can clear pet hair fairly well, even though it’s not as effective as a roomba at the task. Its recurring costs are also low since the pre-motor filter only needs to be replaced every two months and the brushroll can be swapped out for a new one whenever you notice visible signs of wear.

It doesn’t have a full mapping system like pricier models from Shark or Neato, but it relies on random navigation to move around its coverage area. This can lead to it bumping into furniture or lingering over an area that it doesn’t need to clean. It’s best if you prepare your home ahead of time by clearing away cords, blocking off areas it shouldn’t travel to and using furniture risers to keep the robot from clinging onto your walls or sofa.

The shark ION RV765 can be controlled through the SharkClean app on your phone, which allows you to start, stop, and schedule cleaning cycles. It’s easy to set up, with the only requirement being to plug in and connect it to your WiFi network. Once you’ve done this, you can start a cleaning cycle from the cleaner or through the app. The app can also show you the robot’s status, battery level and error codes.
