battlefront 2 resurrection

Resurrection is free DLC for Star Wars Battlefront 2, expanding upon its emotionally charged main game finale. Comprised of three levels that complete Iden Versio's journey while unveiling a First Order plot leading into The Last Jedi movie itself.

Iden, her daughter Zay and alien ally Shriv have returned to seek justice for Del's death, who was interrogated by Kylo Ren and killed by former Inferno Squad member Gideon Hask.

Overview

Though controversial for its microtransactions, Star Wars Battlefront 2 remains an enjoyable multiplayer game with respectable campaigns and arcade modes to diversify gameplay. If your goal is to unlock all achievements within this title however, then this process may take quite some time and dedication.

Star Wars Battlefront II's latest DLC continues Iden Versio's story 30 years later, picking up where she left off in the original base game.

In addition to three campaign missions, this DLC features two new multiplayer maps. Crait is perfect for 20-versus-20 Galactic Assault matches while D'Qar allows for 12-versus-12 starfighter assaults.

This DLC also introduces a Hero Class that lets players take control of iconic characters from the original trilogy. Like Reinforcement classes in multiplayer mode, this new class allows you to level up heroes and unlock new appearances as you level them up.

Though the new content doesn't fill any major holes in The Last Jedi, it does add an additional background for fans. Supplemental media to flesh out minor elements of main story arcs has long been part of Star Wars franchise; Rogue One and this DLC campaign are excellent examples. We hope that this marks just the start of something larger.

Characters

Resurrection takes place three decades later after the heartbreaking conclusion of Star Wars Battlefront 2 story campaign and provides more background for The Last Jedi. It follows former Imperial Agent-turned-Rebel fighter Del Meeko (who died during launch game narrative), while Iden Versio investigates his disappearance alongside Zay (not Rey).

As part of their investigation, Iden and Zay travel to Pillio to identify Meeko's final known location. Along the way, they discover a First Order project called Resurrection which involved Jinata Security; an elite paramilitary group who recruited children from impoverished Outer Rim planets like Athulla and Pillio as part of "Resurrection", then trained them intensively before using them as stormtroopers; Iden suspects Meeko may have fallen prey to this scheme.

As part of this DLC, Iden and Zay take on a massive First Order warship known as Retribution, disabling its hyperspace generators to cause it to depart Starkiller Base orbit and retreat away from Starkiller. Unfortunately during this fight, Iden is ambushed by Hask and fatally wounded before she could give orders to Zay to retrieve plans for the Dreadnought before passing away.

Star Wars Battlefront 2's Resurrection expansion is an important addition to its already sprawling universe, providing a satisfying conclusion to conflicts set up by its launch game while leaving plenty of open-ended arcs for future expansions to build upon. Furthermore, it brings several hero and villain starfighters such as Boba Fett's Slave I, Darth Maul's Scimitar, Emperor Palpatine's Sith Infiltrator, Kylo Ren's TIE Silencer as well as Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca's Millennium Falcon.

Missions

Resurrection is an epilogue to Battlefront 2's main campaign that serves as an epilogue. Set roughly 20 years post-completion of its main story campaign, Resurrection also adds new characters and additional assault levels into its story arc.

This DLC begins shortly after Iden Versio completes his Inferno Squad mission from the base game, Inferno, and follows Iden and his Inferno Squad members. While not necessary to finish this DLC and complete all three missions of Inferno, it helps fill in some missing details and add depth.

Iden and Zay are investigating the disappearance of former Imperial agent Del Meeko, who was killed at the conclusion of the main campaign. Their investigation leads them to Corvus where they discover that the First Order is kidnapping children to indoctrinate into stormtrooper ranks.

Once on board the Retribution, Iden and Zay gain further insight into Project Resurrection of the First Order, eventually managing to steal plans of a First Order Dreadnought from its cargo space and send these back to Leia for her use as part of her strategy to begin The Last Jedi.

Resurrection includes three missions taken directly from its base game: fighting pirates on an asteroid field, blasting stormtroopers in an urban warzone, and sabotaging a Star Destroyer engine. They may be short but their characters and settings feel fresh and exciting - an enjoyable excursion for players familiar with its core experience! With new locations and characters making Resurrection worth playing for existing fans of its core title.

Requirements

The Resurrection DLC is a free expansion pack for Star Wars Battlefront II that adds three new levels. This storyline brings the base game closer to The Last Jedi events as Iden Versio searches for her husband Del Meeko while encountering former Inferno Squad member Gideon Hask from her past life as part of an Inferno Squad battlefront team.

The DLC is available for all players, however we strongly suggest playing it after having completed the main story campaign of Battlefront 2. Doing so will allow you to tie up any loose ends, unlock unmissable achievements and experience three missions from our campaign section in Battlefront 2's main menu.

Resurrection is an outstanding addition to the base game, focusing on Iden Versio to help tie up loose ends from its main campaign, providing some backstory from The Last Jedi and hinting at future story arcs for her character. Furthermore, two additional maps were introduced with Finn and Captain Phasma playable characters - ensuring a nice balance between engaging gameplay and cinematic Star Wars wish-fulfillment!
