If you're looking for a great new bag for school, work, or travel—and one that's also doing good in the world—check out state bags. The brand has grown into a national player thanks to their sleek styles, attention-grabbing colors, and philanthropic mission: for every bag sold, another is donated to kids in need. Founded by Brooklynites Scot and Jacqueline Tatelman (who also ran a non-profit summer camp for underprivileged kids), State bags have received some notable press in publications like Forbes and Business Insider for the company's dedication to helping children.

One of the best selling backpacks by the brand is the Kane Double Pocket Large Backpack ($90). It's water resistant, has a laptop sleeve that holds up to a 15" deep device, and has a decent-sized front zipper pocket for keys and a cell phone. Plus, the straps are softly padded and comfortable to carry.

Another standout is the Lorimer Fanny Pack. While fanny packs often have a kiddish look, this version has a more refined adult appeal and is available in a range of neutral colors with shiny zipper accents. It fits a 12 oz water bottle, has a top locker loop, and a secure zip closure.

If you're ready to take the plunge, there are some financing options available through the Afterpay platform that allows you to split your purchase into 4 equal payments over a 6 week period. You'll need to link your credit card and complete a soft credit check at checkout in order to use this service.
