Super why abc is an interactive app based on the PBS kids series SUPER WHY. Super Why is the first preschool show designed to help kids 3 to 6 build the reading skills they need through interactive story adventures that take place in Storybrook Village, the magical three-dimensional world behind the books on your shelves. In each episode, one of Whyatt Beanstalk’s fairytale friends comes to him with a “super big problem” or a “super big question.” Then they all fly into a book of a famous story and use the literacy-powered powers of the Super Readers to find out the answer!

Players choose a character to play as: Alpha Pig with Alphabet Power, Wonder Red with Word Power, Princess Presto with Spelling Power and Super Why with the power to read. They then use the game board and skill based character cards to practice key reading skills such as identifying letters, rhyming, spelling and basic reading.

Kids will sing the alphabet, identify letters B and O, practice rhyme with AY words, and use their literacy-powered superhero powers to change the story. During this game, Whyatt is caught in a lie and learns that it’s important to be honest. They will also dance their way into the story of Alice in Wonderland, to find out why Sleeping Beauty is so grumpy. And will the reading heroes be able to help the Swan Maiden get her feathers back?
