The cuba libre story netflix is an eight episode documentary series on the history of cuba. It has a good mix of historical facts and events. The doc is also entertaining and interesting to watch. It also talks about the culture of cuba and how it has evolved over time. It also includes interviews with various historians and experts. The doc has been directed by Kai Christiansen and Emmanuel Amara. Regina Bouchehri, Olga Zatulkina, and Louis-David Delahaye have produced it. Gunnar Dedio and Gregory Schnebelen have executively produced the doc for Netflix.

The series has received positive reviews from the critics. It has an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 95% on Metacritic. It has been well-received by the audiences as well. It is one of the most watched docs on the streaming platform. The doc is available to stream now on Netflix.

While this is a good and informative documentary it has a few issues. It's a little one sided and shows the Castro brothers in bad light. It also doesn't judge the Bay of Pigs invasion which was a direct American attack on an independent nation and it's President to protect their corporate interests. It also doesn't touch on the fact that cuba is one of the most successful socialist countries and has some of the best medical and educational systems worldwide. This is a great documentary but don't expect to learn anything objective about Cuba from it.
