If you want a high quality gaming laptop, look no further than the ROG Strix Scar II GL704GM. This model features a Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU, an 8th Gen Core i7 processor, and a 17-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also has 16 GB of RAM, a 1TB 5,400-rpm HDD, and a 256GB SSD.

The ROG Strix Scar II is a good-looking gaming machine. Its slim, sleek design has an attractive matte finish, and its metal chassis is sturdy. A glossy ROG logo on the lid emits an RGB light when on. You can adjust the lighting on the keyboard in four zones.

The Scar's display has great black levels, but it doesn't have the best color results. In addition, the screen temperature is 6773K, which can be a bit warm for gamers. That said, it has great contrast and a 144Hz refresh rate.

However, the Scar isn't a good choice for games that require 100 frames per second. It will play most games at playable frame rates, but it won't be able to run the most demanding titles at full-speed.

The Scar II has good build quality and features, but the price tag is a little steep. Asus' ROG Strix Hero II offers a similar feature set and is priced at a lower cost.

However, the Scar lacks some of the features that other machines offer, such as the ability to synchronize graphics with the screen refresh rate. While it's not an issue in most situations, it does mean that it's less responsive.
