Printing can be a great way to save important documents in a physical form for your records, or to keep copies of certain pages in case the digital version gets lost. However, sometimes you might need to make some changes or would like to use a different format, and in those cases, the best option is to convert your files to PDF.

Fortunately, macOS makes this process extremely easy and can be done from nearly any application. If you're new to macOS, here are some helpful tips on how to print on mac:

Most printers support multiple types of paper sizes, so you should be able to find the type of paper you need in your list of available options. Once you've selected your paper, you can also choose to include a cover page with the name of the file, as well as any special instructions or notes you may want to include before printing. You can even select the number of copies you'd like to print, though some apps might only allow you to print one copy at a time.

If you have several printers configured on your Mac, you can enable a Print Pool in System Preferences, which will allow you to automatically send prints to the first available printer. This will help to avoid the annoyance of having to manually open each document and then print it separately.

You can also save a set of print settings as a preset to save yourself some time in the future. This can be especially handy if you often print the same things such as directions, favorite recipes, or vacation photos.
