The NX7 is the Topping brand's latest and greatest portable amplifier with 3.5mm and 4.4mm Jack outputs, NFCA amplification and Hi-Res Audio certification. It has up to 20 hours of battery life and can be charged via a Type-C connector.
Packaging
The box design for the NX7 is a little different from what I've seen from Topping in the past. It has a textured outer layer and is much more stylish than their simpler, white/black boxes. Inside the box, you'll find a few accessories including a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, a 4.4mm to 4.4mm interconnect and a USB-C to USB-A short cable for charging.
Power
The NX7 features a new NFCA amplifier circuit that is designed specifically for portable amplifiers. Its low idle power consumption allows for extended battery life, while delivering 0.00007% THD+N and 135dB SNR.
It is also powerful enough to drive both demanding headphones and sensitive IEMs. It can deliver up to 180mW of high power under a load of 300 ohms, with 3 stages of gain for easy adjustment.
Unlike most portable amps, the NX7's input impedance is very small (
Power Ratings
The power ratings are quite good for an all-in-one, dap, dacamp or dongle at under $500 - 1.4 watts into 32O and 180 milliwatts into 300O. The output noise is incredibly low too, measured at 0.3uVrms and distortion levels are very low too.
