tt r230 review

The tt r230 is one of the best beginner dirt bikes available. It’s quiet, dependable, and with a few mods, allows room for growth as your riding improves. It’s a great bike for teenagers and adults who don’t want to jump into a monster enduro or MX bike that feels like it’s going to rip your arms off. It does not have fuel injection so jetting is a bit more involved but is still very easy. With a few simple engine mods you can whoop guys on brand new enduro bikes on single-track trails.

The bike’s power is smooth and predictable compared to other 230cc two-stroke engines. It makes 20 HP at the crank and is plenty for beginners to handle. It is also very light and has a low center of gravity, making it easier for new riders to maneuver.

There are a few things that are a little annoying about the tt r230, but nothing to stop you from getting one. First, the seat height is a little high for some adult riders, but this can be easily fixed with a lowering link. Second, the suspension is not the best and won’t handle big jumps or if you weigh more than 150lbs. You can lower this by changing the internal valving but it will affect suspension performance.

With its YZ-inspired looks and stout 223cc air-cooled SOHC four-stroke engine, the TT-R230 is perfect for novice to intermediate riders looking for a fun oriented recreational dirt bike for cottage fun or back forty trail riding. The compact wheelbase, low seat and convenient electric start make it easy for anyone to get on and ride.
