Wayne Goss is a cosmetic artist, YouTube celebrity and entrepreneur from the UK who launched his brush collection couple of years back exclusively at Beautylish (who ship internationally). Driven by the belief that every makeup artist should have access to high-quality brushes, Goss created an eponymous line of makeup brushes that meet his rigorous standards for luxury and performance.
The entire line is hand-crafted in Kumano, Japan by some of the world’s finest brushmakers and made with the highest quality natural hairs. The collection features a variety of face and eye brushes in both goat and squirrel hair to suit all needs. The first collection sold out within five minutes of launching at Beautylish, and has since gone on to become one of the fastest-growing brands in the industry.
Brush 19 is my favourite eye brush from the collection - it is a slightly bigger version of his Artist Small, which I have been using for everything from blending out kohl pencil to depositing shadow on the lid and defining the crease. It is also a great brush to use for concealer, or even to do a final smoothing of the entire eyelid. It is a bit more dense than his WG 04 and therefore has more strength for blending, but it is still very versatile. I have found that it is very similar to the Hakuhodo G5523 in terms of softness, but is cheaper at a fraction of the cost.
