Dunkin Donuts is adding an eight-tap system in some of its stores to dispense cold drinks, including the company’s popular nitro cold brew. The new drink options are available in stores that have the next generation design, which first debuted at a location in Massachusetts earlier this year. In the new taps, customers can choose from iced coffee, iced tea, and cold brew, as well as nitro cold brew. The new beverage choices are brewed in-store and served immediately.
There’s no word on when the new beverage option will be rolled out to more locations, but for now it’s only available at this one in East Syracuse. It’s part of a wider initiative to modernize the look and feel of Dunkin Donuts stores. The new design features a neutral color palette and modern graphics. It also includes a new drive-thru lane, where DD Perks members can order ahead through the Dunkin app and then merge directly into the pick-up window to avoid the line.
If you’re looking for a quick, easy way to pay at Dunkin, the chain has added Google Pay as an option. The feature allows guests to use their Android phone or watch to load funds onto their virtual DD Card. They can then use the DD Card to make purchases at any participating DD location. The DD Card can be used at a self-serve kiosk in the store or in the Dunkin Donuts mobile app to order and pay for food and beverages.
