Yahoo Finance went on the wrong end of the internet shit show after accidentally posting a tweet saying Donald Trump wants a “nigger navy.” The typo was quickly spotted and black twitter collectively began roasting the company with memes and gifs under the hashtag #NiggerNavy, which became trending. The company eventually apologized, but the damage had already been done. Reddit user wrathchild89 posted a gif macro of Squidward watching Spongebob Squarepants and said “When your man in the nigger navy and he ain’t texting back” to /r/blackpeopletwitter, where it received over 2,500 up votes in 13 hours.
