Shatter is a type of marijuana concentrate that looks like glass and has a hard texture. It is also called Butane Hash Oil (BHO) and it is highly potent. Shatter is extracted from cannabis plants by passing butane through the plant material. This process removes the terpenes and cannabinoids, leaving behind a wax-like substance with up to 80% THC potency. It is usually consumed by placing it on a heated surface, such as a dab rig or an e-nail, and inhaling the vapor. It can also be used to top off joints, add extra potency to edibles or dab on its own.

Taking too much of this drug can cause psychedelic effects, such as hallucinations. Users can experience visual and auditory hallucinations that can make them feel like they are in danger or that they are being chased by monsters. People who take too much of this drug can also experience paranoia, anxiety and depression. It can also affect the user’s memory and impulse control, making it difficult for them to complete daily tasks.

Prolonged usage of this drug can cause a psychological dependency and addiction. Addiction treatment programs typically include behavioral therapy and detoxification. The use of this drug is illegal in many states, so anyone who is addicted to it will need to seek treatment under medical supervision. This can be done through a detox center or an inpatient treatment program. Getting help for this dependency is important, as it can lead to serious health complications.
