For decades, football fans have been able to get their fix of virtual soccer with EA Sports’ FIFA series. Every year, players look forward to the latest release of the popular game. From Ultimate Team to Career Mode, to Pro Clubs and Online Seasons – the annual FIFA franchise has something for all football fans.

But this year, gamers will be disappointed to discover that the game will not be called FIFA 24. Instead, the rebranded title will be called EA Sports FC. EA Sports and FIFA could not agree on a renewed deal for the franchise’s use of the governing body’s name, thus necessitating the rebranding.

The EA Sports FC game releases on September 29 for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC. Those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition of the game will be able to start playing the new title up to seven days earlier. Those who are also EA Play subscribers will have a 10-hour free trial of the game available from September 21.

This year’s EA Sports FC will feature all of the licensed leagues, teams and players that have been present in previous games. In addition, the game will include all of the women’s football teams that were present in FIFA 23. The game will also include a full Ultimate Team experience as well as the new Volta Football mode. Gamers can expect a more realistic player movement and tackling in this year’s game, along with improved tactical options for the managers of their clubs.
