Disney Dreamlight Valley is a popular life simulation game that offers players the chance to live in a world inhabited by iconic Disney and Pixar characters. The game is currently in an early access state, with those who wish to play the game being required to purchase one of the Founder’s Packs. However, it has been confirmed that the developers will make Disney Dreamlight Valley free-to-play upon its full release in 2023.

The developers of Disney Dreamlight Valley have made the decision to move to a free-to-play model in 2023 after an extended Early Access period. This will allow them to create new content and update the game on a regular basis, as they have done in the past with updates like Lion King and Toy Story. Players who have purchased a Founder’s Pack will be able to retain their in-game rewards and special cosmetic items when the game moves over to a free-to-play model next year.

In the meantime, Disney Dreamlight Valley has been updated with a number of major updates since its initial launch. The Pride of the Valley update added Simba and Nala to the game, while the latest addition sees the villainous Scar from Disney’s The Lion King take control of the sun-drenched savannahs that comprise the Sunlit Plateau biome.

However, some players have expressed concern over the game’s new premium store, which has been set up to sell expensive cosmetic items that require Moonstones to unlock. While this is a common practice in many free-to-play games, some gamers have noted that it could be off-putting for those who are not interested in spending real money on a game that they have already purchased.
