Located on the corner of Flatbush and Franklin Avenues, Brooklyn Academy of Music’s digital screen is now home to New York City’s first large-scale exhibit of animated GIFs. The moving images, all created in the Graphics Interchange Format, will be on display for three months.

Amanda Bonaiuto and Julian Schnabel’s works are inspired by humor, tilted realities and observing the natural world. Their work has been exhibited at film festivals and galleries around the world.

The single-camera comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, has a plethora of reaction shots that work oh-so-well as reaction GIFs. We’ve rounded up the best ones from last night’s series premiere.
