If you have pre-teens or teens, chances are they’re asking you to buy them Prime. But what do they really mean? They want you to purchase Prime Hydration, a sports drink created by YouTubers and former rivals Logan Paul and KSI.
The company has two main products: Prime Hydration and Prime Energy. The former is a hydration-focused drink that’s been created to fill “the void where great taste meets function.” The latter, however, is an energy drink with 200mg of caffeine.
While Gatorade replenishes the body’s energy stores through salt and sodium, Prime Hydration does it by tapping into the natural benefits of coconut water. Additionally, the drinks are formulated to be lower in sugar and more nutritious, containing a blend of electrolytes, B vitamins, and BCAAs (branched chain amino acids). They’re also free of artificial sweeteners and low in calories.
You can find bottles of both Prime Hydration and Prime Energy at select retailers nationwide. Walmart, Target, and Sam’s Club are the cheapest places to stock up on the drinks, offering prices as low as $2.29 before applying a 5% RedCard savings discount. Both are EBT-eligible.
You can also get a deal on the drinks at Vitamin Shoppe, where you can pay as low as $2.08 per bottle/can when you shop their BOGO sale. They’re also available at some gas station convenience stores. It can be tricky to find the new flavors of the drinks, though. Some retailers, such as Amazon, are sold out, while others like Sam’s Club, GNC, and Walmart often run out of inventory. You might want to check back regularly or sign up for their newsletter to get notified when the product is in stock again.
