The first eight episodes of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 2 just dropped on Netflix, and fans are glued to their screens trying to figure out which couples will end up together. Unlike Love Is Blind, which featured singles from both Atlanta and Chicago, this show focuses on couples from one city — aka Charlotte — for the duration of the series. As such, a lot of viewers are wondering where is ultimatum filmed.
Much like its predecessor, The Ultimatetum is filmed in Austin, Texas, but this time around, the action moves to the Southeast. Luckily, Charlotte isn’t too far away from Austin, which means you can visit many of the locations seen on the show yourself. From the luxury apartments at The Vue Charlotte to a group date at Figo 36 to the hotel where the cast stays for their trial marriages, here are some of the major filming locations on The Ultimatetum.
All of those poolside mingling scenes where the couples meet their new partners were filmed at the Austin Marriott Downtown, which is also home to Zanzibar rooftop bar. The hotel is located in the heart of the Sixth Street Entertainment District and is a four-star property. In the upcoming episodes, you’ll see the couples arguing and flirting at popular spots such as a cocktail bar called Billy Sunday in Optimist Hall’s indoor-outdoor food court and at a restaurant called Hot Taco (although it appears to have closed).
Outside of the hotel, crew members were also spotted at other well-known destinations in the city, including The Oasis on Lake Travis and Moontower Saloon on Menchaca Road. The cast would also spend their time at Aloft Austin Downtown, where they stayed for their trial marriages.
