When a father gets mad at his children, it can cause deep hurts that can impact their self-esteem, sense of worth and how much they feel loved. It’s a parent’s job to keep their anger in check and not let it spill onto their kids.
A father who is constantly mad at his children may be unable to cope with his own problems. He may have failed to resolve his marital issues or he could be struggling with mental health issues such as depression or anxiety. It’s possible that he had bad experiences in the military or a troubled childhood, which have left him with an inability to express his emotions appropriately.
Anger can be triggered by insecurities and feelings of being inadequate. Some people have a tendency to swallow their emotions and become moody in order to avoid expressing them.
