Why is Instagram Black?

Instagram users have been noticing that their app has switched to dark mode, and many are questioning why this happened. The app’s CEO Adam Mosseri explained that the change is part of a test to see if a revamped home screen will improve the user experience.

Although the dark theme may be a bit confusing at first, it does provide some benefits for users including less strain on the eyes and the ability to easily distinguish posts with captions. In addition, some Instagram users prefer to use black and white filters because it can bring out the details in photos and create a more dramatic look.

If you are using an Android device and have experienced the problem of Instagram turning black, you can try to fix it by downloading a previous version of the app. You can do this by visiting a third-party website that offers older APK files such as Uptodown. Simply search for the old version of Instagram and download it to your device. Once you have done this, reinstall the Instagram app and see if the black screen is fixed.

If the Instagram screen is black and you can’t interact with the app, then the issue may be caused by connectivity problems or too much background activity. You can try connecting to Wi-Fi or turning on cellular data to resolve this issue. In addition, you can also try to clear the app’s cache by offloading it on an iPhone.
