The Apple pencil is a highly useful tool that makes your iPad more productive. However, just like any other device, it can sometimes malfunction or stop working for a variety of reasons. Fortunately, there are several quick fixes that can help you get your stylus up and running again.

The first thing to check if your Apple Pencil isn’t connecting is whether it is charged or not. Plug it in and charge it for a few minutes. This should fix the problem if it was caused by a low battery.

Another reason your Apple Pencil might not be connecting is that it isn’t paired. To fix this, open the Settings app and navigate to the Bluetooth menu. Tap on the pencil icon, and then tap “Pair”. Wait a few seconds, and then the pencil should appear in the list of paired devices. If it does not, try turning off and then on again the Bluetooth feature in the iPad.

If you can’t find a solution to the problem by following the steps above, it is likely that your Apple Pencil has sustained damage and will need to be replaced. You can schedule an appointment with your local Apple store to have it repaired or replaced under warranty.

Another option is to purchase AppleCare, which offers repair and replacement services for one year after the date of original purchase. This plan also covers two incidents of accidental damage per year.
