yamaha ef2000is review

A great generator for a wide range of small to medium power needs. It comes with a full set of features for ease-of-use including an inverter system for clean energy that is safe for delicate electronics, Smart Throttle technology to optimize engine speed, and built-in safety features. The EF2000is v2 is also easy to maintain. Unlike conventional generators that require extensive head cleaning and frequent oil changes, the Yamaha design requires only routine spark plug checks and simple fuel refueling.

In addition, this generator is ultra-quiet. Thanks to the innovative noise block system and muffler, it produces only 51.5 dB to 61 dB of noise when running. That is extremely quiet, especially compared to other generators in the same price range. In fact, it is so quiet that you can have a conversation right next to the unit!

The generator is easy to start, sips gas, and can run for up to 10.5 hours with a quarter load. This is a much longer run time than the Honda EU20i, and the Yamaha EF2000is also has a separate fuel shut off switch that allows you to drain the carburettor and avoid the issue of old gasoline sitting in the carburettor for long periods of time. The Yamaha EF2000is also has an integrated fuel gauge and a warning light when the oil is low, which is another feature that is missing from the Honda EU20i. This is a great choice for camping and tailgating, and it’s also good to have on hand as a backup during power outages.
